Skrining Glaukoma “Si Pencuri Penglihatan” dengan Humphrey Field Analyzer
Definisi Glaukoma
Gangguan pada mata dimana tekanan cairan dalam bola mata meningkat, berakibat kerusakan pada serat lembut saraf optik yang bertugas membawa sinyal penglihatan dari mata ke otak.
Bagaimana mengenali tanda-tanda glaukoma?
- Sakit mata yang parah,
- Penglihatan yang terus memburuk,
- Kemerahan pada mata,
- Sakit mata yang disertai mual dan muntah.
- Saat melihat lampu terdapat lingkaran seperti pelangi.
Pemeriksaan skrining glaukoma secara berkala pada :
- Usia < 40 tahun: setiap 2-4 tahun
- Usia > 40 tahun: setiap 2 tahun
- Riwayat keluarga memiliki glaukoma: setiap 1 tahun
Skrining berkala dilakukan untuk mendeteksi glaukoma secara dini, salah satunya adalah dengan Pemeriksaan Humphrey Field Analyzer.
Prosedur Humphrey Field Analyzer
- Ruangan harus gelap dan tenang, waktu pemeriksaan adalah sekitar 10 menit untuk setiap mata.
- Pengisian data pasien dan detail pemeriksaan
- Penempatan pasien : Mata yang tidak diperiksa ditutup, pasien duduk dikursi pemeriksaan dengan tangan memegang bel. Dagu diletakkan diatas sandaran dagu sehingga mata yang akan diperiksa terletak ditengah garis lintasan pada layar monitor.
- Pasien harus selalu melihat cahaya kuning yang ada ditengah.
- Pada saat mata pasien terfiksasi pada cahaya kuning, komputer akan memancarkan sinar kecil secara acak di sekitarnya. Pasien harus menekan tombol yang berada ditangannya setiap kali mereka melihat sinar tersebut.
- Pasien diperbolehkan mengedipkan mata, terutama setelah melihat target.
- Pasien tidak diperbolehkan bicara selama pemeriksaan kecuali mengalami masalah.
